The Distribution Supervisor's primary job function is to oversee the warehouse workers for 2nd shift and ensure that daily shipping and receiving goals are being met as well ensuring a safe work environment.

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:30PM - 3:00AM; Friday and weekend availability as needed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
* 3 or more years of effective/progressive leadership experience in a distribution environment
* Previous experience with Big Box retailers a plus
* Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
* Must possess strong management and leadership skills and demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse group of employees
* Excellent working knowledge of safety practices and regulations, including OSHA compliance
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a team player and have the proven ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Bachelor's Degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred

Responsible for leading, managing, hiring, and training warehouse workers
Responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving goals are met or exceeded daily.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

* Lead and supervise 2 Team Leads and roughly 25 hourly associates in outbound and inbound operations within the Distribution Center.
* Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of the shift.
* Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
* Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
* Planning and forecasting; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs.
* Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression and learning.
* Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts
* Accountable for delegating duties, holding associates accountable, and enforcing timelines & objectives.
* Organize areas to accomplish goals through well-designed, efficient workflows.
* Analyze processes and data to identify & integrate operational efficiencies.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

* Familiarity with a version of WMS (Warehouse Management System), including picking, packing, shipping, order fulfillment, inventory location management, etc.


Reports to: Operations Manager
