Responsibilities

This position serves as a member of the College of Medicine, Finance and Administration senior management team and is responsible for the overall direction, management, and operation of college-wide administrative activities serving as liaison for human resources functions.

Provides oversight and direction for all administrative activities related to the employees at the main campus, six regional campuses, three training sites and a growing number of residency programs throughout Florida. Administrative activities include: faculty and staff recruitment and onboarding processes; faculty promotion and tenure; facilitating labor relations issues and performance reviews; employee data management; position and compensation management in compliance with the hiring plan, budget and University regulations; effort reporting; Assignments of Responsibilities; time and leave processes; and payroll activities.

Provides high level expertise and serves as a subject matter expert to leadership at the College in the administration of staffing services and provides detailed assessments and recommendations in support of the College's mission. Represents the College and serves as an organizational contact with University, state, and accrediting agencies.

Serves as immediate supervisor for staff positions. Initiates long range planning, analyzes internal processes, and implements changes to improve operations or services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and six years of experience related to administrative services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and ten years of experience in the same. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced Human Resources professional.
  • Experience prioritizing assignments, meeting deadlines, and making timely responses to inquiries and requests.
  • Experience providing leadership and direction in programmatic, budgetary, and operational functions.
  • Experience training and supervising employees.
  • Experience strategic planning, serving as catalyst for organizational changes, cultivating a shared vision and motivating others to transfer vision into action.
  • Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.

Anticipated Salary Range

Starting Salary: Mid $70,000's to negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.
