This position will be responsible for leading the overall strategy, development, and execution of app-based customer interfaces with Smart Yard Residential products. This includes, but is not restricted to, applications which interact with durable goods as well as SAAS-only based products.

You will have an incredible passion for deep customer understanding and integrating comprehensive customer-back problem solving, and must be highly collaborative as you will work to gain alignment across multiple stakeholders. You will work closely will durable product owners to create an integrated experience for customer within the Toro ecosystem of products and services

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Creates and owns the overall strategy, development, and execution of app-based customer interfaces with Residential products by utilizing a scrum and agile approach in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Oversees management of support process and structure to maximize the value of the product or app, including process setup, execution monitoring, and making support-related business and key product feature decisions
  • Uses a digital first problem solver approach and can translate customer experiences into an iterative, outcome-based backlog that optimally prioritizes the needs of stakeholders. Ensures epics, themes and features evolve into user stories that are small enough to be achieved in a single sprint
  • Validates IT-related design and development work
  • Decides on release dates and content
  • Participating in daily scrum, as needed
  • Participating in sprint planning meetings, reveals and retrospectives - inspecting the product progress at the end of every sprint to accept or reject the work that has been done by the development team
  • Serves as the voice of the team, communicating status to stakeholders and internal partners
  • Partners with the business to ensure end user acceptance testing
  • Develops release communications and training materials
  • Tracks budget performance
  • Monitors an initiative post launch to ensure benefit realization
  • Perform other duties and projects as requested

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field required for all levels
  • Digital Product Manager III = 7+ years professional experience with 5+ years experience as a product owner/manager, lead business analyst or senior project/program manager who worked closely with product owners
  • Digital Product Manager II = 5-7 years professional experience with 3+ years' experience as a product owner/manager, lead business analyst, or senior project/program manager who work closely with product owners
  • 3+ years' experience collaborating with a technical team while simultaneously managing multiple projects
  • 3+ years' experience with the Agile methodology
  • Strong accountability planning, organization, and teamwork
  • Experience in building and running digital products using an agile mindset
  • Customer focused individual who can empathize, reframe, and tackle customer problems and work collaboratively to apply design thinking and develop outstanding solutions
  • Strong communicator and has experience partnering with multiple collaborators and software development teams
  • Experience working with marketing teams, and an understanding of how the combination of marketing strategy and the appropriate technology drives prime product sales to end users
  • Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as DevOps/Azure, JIRA, Team Services
  • Experience working with onshore/offshore team model
  • Demonstrated ability to empower teams
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience working with Information Technology teams
  • Product Owner certificationpreferred

It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
