Intern, MGB Digital Solutions Delivery CMIO

This summer, we are excited to offer a summer internship working closely with clinical and operational leaders to evaluate the impact of emerging technologies on the clinician experience. Half of physicians at Mass General Brigham (MGB) indicate some degree of burnout and documenting clinical notes in the electronic health record (EHR) is consistently highlighted as one of the sources of that burnout. As part of the effort to reduce clinician burden, MGB is collaborating with three national vendors to pilot the use of artificial intelligence to monitor the interaction between clinicians and patients in the exam room then create drafts of documentation that can be uploaded into the EHR, thereby decreasing the clinicians' cognitive load and effort. This pilot effort is currently at the beginning phase and is intended to span the Spring through Fall of 2024.

Qualifications
Our summer intern will be involved in:

• Assisting with outreach and recruitment of pilot clinicians
• Assisting with training and technical support of pilot clinicians
• Gathering feedback from pilot clinicians, including contacting them to complete check-in questionnaires and attending qualitative feedback sessions
• Data collection, analysis and reporting
• Assist in preparing presentations relevant to the pilot
• Opportunity to participate in publishing and reporting on learnings from the pilot program

Required Skills:

Facile with Microsoft products including Excel and PowerPoint and currently enrolled in college degree program
