Position: Designer
Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030
Duties: Lead product design for the data reporting tool in Walmart's Data Software as a Service (SaaS) Platform to streamline complex data mining, analysis, and visualization abilities into desirable software. Craft the design of highly usable software with low barriers to entry by comprehending the complexity of data science and engineering. Design low to high fidelity visual product experiences in 5-screen resolutions to accommodate multiple devices and browsers using Figma. Scale and drive the design vision and system for a commercial portfolio. Engage in productive dialogues with colleagues in design and cross-functionally. Produce the user interfaces (UI) and user experience (UX) designs for each feature and product enhancement requirements. Influence culture through peer reviews and mentoring. Be an active contributor to design conversations by sharing news, ideas, and lessons learned.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics and Visualization, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics and Visualization, or related area and 2 years of experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Skills required: Experience designing high-fidelity product user interface in multi-resolutions by using Figma. Experience using Figma and ProtoPie to prototype and mockup user experiences with micro-interactions to facilitate usability studies and business reviews. Experience conducting visual quality assessments throughout the sprint of developed code by analyzing and manipulating the HTML and CSS. Experience red-lining and annotating designs with expected experience notations in Figma for real time collaboration with Product and Engineering teams. Experience managing sprint work, design documentation, and reporting using Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence). Experience synthesizing and analyzing user data and user research results using Mural. Experience using Slack, Zoom, and Figma to work with product and engineering teams to accomplish sprint work and align on design requirements. Experience synthesizing user research, executing A/B testing, and using Affinity Clustering. Experience creating illustrations and icons in Adobe illustrator and Figma. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
