Compensation: $17.37 hourly

The Customer Relations Specialist performs switchboard and receptionist duties. They also assist with general duties such as typing needs, out-patient clinics, receiving visitors and giving out information regarding hospital policies and procedures in accordance with the confidentiality of staff and patients. The Customer Relations Specialist is also responsible for maintaining the front lobby, making coffee and ordering supplies needed for the front office. They keep on top of ordering postage for the mail machine, distribute mail after mail has been delivered, and take mail to the post-office at the end of the day.

*This is a part-time role, 24 hours weekly.

Responsibilities Include:

* Requires working in a team setting
* Needs to have effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
* Possesses cognitive, organizational, and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors and
* Acts as a role model and educator for new staff
* Attend 22 hours of continuing education per year, along with completing and passing CALM & CPR classes
* Works efficiently with minimal supervision
* Helps promote Quality Improvement to the hospital
* Uses proper phone etiquette techniques
* Must be able to perform essential job functions such as bending, lifting, and transporting patients
* Needs to abide by Federal, State, and TJC standards and regulations
* Other duties as assigned

High School/GED preferred


Basic knowledge of switchboard systems with multiple lines, along with computer skills preferred
