Construction General Labor

Valfair Construction is looking for a General Laborer who is responsible for assisting with daily operations on the job sites. The General Laborer will help the equipment operators and other workers on site during the excavation process. They will be expected to follow company guidelines and help maintain a safe working environment. Some duties while on the job site may include:

• Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris
• Remove other excavation/construction materials as requested.

Load or unload equipment such as machinery, or tools etc., distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans/specifications or at the direction of the site Superintendent.

• At least one year [related] work experience in excavation
• Ability to operate basic equipment such as; the truck, mini excavator, or various other tools as needed
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Occasional over time as needed
• Extensive travel [working on various Copart projects around the country]
• Valid Driver's License
