Civil Engineer - Traffic

Hiring for our Livonia, MI Office.

Your Primary Focus

The Traffic Engineer works under the supervision of a more senior engineer as a member of a design team performing traffic engineering design tasks for Local, County and MDOT projects out of the Livonia office.

As part of our dynamic team, you will perform traffic engineering tasks for a wide variety of projects that include:

• Traffic Studies
• Signing
• Pavement Markings
• Signal Design
• Maintenance of Traffic
• Design and Construction Documents

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with: Highway Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual, ITE Trip Generation Manual, Roadside Design Guide, and AASHTO "Green Book"
• Must have experience in either MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Synchro/SimTraffic is strongly desired.
• Roadway design and Highway Lighting experience is a plus.
• Experience with VISSIM, SignCAD, and AutoTurn are a plus.
• Experience with Michigan agencies, including MDOT, is a plus.
