GFL Environmental is actively recruiting for a Cash Application Associate based out of the Southfield, Michigan head office. The Cash Application Associate will focus on applying various payments to customer accounts, which will include lockbox, check and ACH processing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Post daily lockbox and exception lookups
• Process ACH payments
• Post payments and adjustments accurately to the appropriate accounts
• Investigate and resolve payment application discrepancies
• Maintain strong relations with other departments
• Sort mail as needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
• 1+ years of administrative experience in a high volume environment, with prior waste industry experience preferred
• Prior high volume lockbox experience a plus
• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Team player with positive attitude who takes initiative and has a strong work ethic
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written as well as verbal) with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional, competent manner
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
