Position Summary:

This position entails operating machinery to ensure the smooth flow of products through the production process, guaranteeing the correct usage of ingredients and supplies on the production line. The operator monitors and adjusts machine settings and promptly notifies the supervisor of maintenance requirements. All while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position is to operate the press. This involves closely monitoring the press, making necessary adjustments, and promptly reporting any issues to the supervisor or lead.

Additionally, this role requires maintaining various log sheets.

• This position will also serve as an FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) technician as needed.
• This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product); and reporting results to management; any additional assignments requested.
• All team members are responsible for safety.
• This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.
• This role involves routine exposure to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet and humid conditions, slippery floors in certain areas, and concrete floors.
• Furthermore, the position may entail exposure to airborne particles and noise levels that require hearing protection.

Requirements:

• Availability to work overtime and weekends is a must.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: QA type experience preferred.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written
  communication skills.
• Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; good problem
  identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational
  skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
