Position Summary

The principal responsibility of this position is to provide office support to the DC office. The office services assistant must be able to prioritize multiple assignments, have outstanding organizational skills, be conscientious, reliable, and efficient, have the ability to lift heavy packages, and have technical knowledge of computers and office equipment. This position is required to be in the office 5 days a week from 9am to 6pm EST.

Responsibilities

20% of time

  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, FedEx, UPS, DHL, and various other time-sensitive courier packages
  • Stock and maintain kitchens

15% of time
  • Process large-scale copying, binding, and scanning requests

10% of time
  • Stock and maintain satellite copy rooms
  • Reception Coverage

5% of time
  • Process out-going USPS mail
  • Office Moves including moving office furniture and accessories, set-up of new offices, hanging artwork and boards
  • Handle service and maintenance requests for all office equipment
  • Report building related issues to property management and ensure that they are taken care of in a timely manner

Qualifications

Education & Certificates
  • High school diploma

Professional Experience
  • 1-2+ years of experience desired. Must possess basic computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Competencies & Attributes
  • This role will be in the office 5 days a week.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Must be able to lift/handle items up to 70lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility with hours and assignments and willingness to work overtime as needed.
