The position includes teaching in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and weekend formats to support the Reading graduate programs and undergraduate Literacy coursework. Employees will be expected to work positively with faculty, staff, students, and the community, teach courses as assigned in keeping with University workload policy, have an active research/creative work agenda, and participate in university and community service. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Education and/or Experience: Ph.D., EdD, or ABD in Reading, Literacy, or a related field; Teaching experience.

Preferred Education and/or Experience: Teaching experience in a K-12 setting; Experience with struggling readers; Research consistent with departmental focus and needs; College teaching experience; Deep understanding of Science of Reading.
