Position: Nine-month, full-time (50% research, 50% teaching), benefits-eligible, tenure-track position.

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) seeks outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank with experience in interpersonal and/or family relationships in diverse sociocultural contexts. We are open to scholars with a broad range of focus in relationship and family science that complement existing research initiatives in the department.

Required Qualifications:
•An earned Ph.D. (or doctoral level) degree in Human Development and Family Studies or related field
•Doctorate must be completed prior to the start date
•Expertise in interpersonal and/or family relationships
•Evidence of a systematic research program with the ability and commitment to secure external funding
•Record of effective teaching and commitment to mentoring diverse graduate and undergraduate students
•Ability to collaborate with other HDFS and University of Illinois faculty

Preferred Qualifications:
•Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
•Expertise in advanced methods and/or statistical skills
•Experience or expressed interest in teaching courses in our undergraduate and graduate curricula

Department:
The mission of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) is to address contemporary social issues that affect children, youth, adults, and families through high-quality research, teaching, and outreach programs. Position: Nine-month, full-time, benefits eligible tenure-track position with a stipend. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, rank, and experience.
