Accounts Receivable Manager

Location: Surprise, AZ (Hybrid 2 days in office/3-day work from home)

Overview:

The AR Manager is responsible for managing the corporate accounts receivable function and supervising two Accounts Receivable Specialists. Duties include reviewing AR aging, managing billing and collections, ensuring accurate accounting per GAAP and communicating with the Accounting Team regarding cash management.

Responsibilities:

• Manages all accounts receivable aspects of the organization, including billing, collection, and cash posting for the organization.

• Leads the AR team to resolve any billing issues and any discrepancies on payments to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue generation.

• Monitors the monthly accounts receivable aging reports and works with department leadership, and the communities to ensure timely collection of receivables.

• Ensures monthly cash receipts for AR are reconciled to deposits in the bank.

• Assists the Accounting Team with regards to cash management including but not limited to upcoming payments and receivables.

• Works with accountants to ensure that the AR subledgers are balanced and agree to the general ledger.

• Coordinates with team members to ensure the proper completion of financial reports for month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing and as needed for compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.

• Manages all state and local sales tax filings.

• Participates in the review, analysis and implementation of corporate procedures and methodologies to improve efficiencies and ensure compliance.

• Develops and implements other appropriate policies and procedures as necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors in Accounting or related field preferred

• 5 +years of related work experience in an accounts receivable function with at least 3 years in a supervisor experience

• Healthcare industry experience ++

• Must be proficient in Excel.
