General Purpose:

Ensure that Mideast Area (MEA) dairy farmers’ bi-monthly milk payment checks are calculated and processed correctly according to the monthly accounting calendar. Work closely with customer plant staff and MEA hauler relations staff to ensure that all necessary milk receiving records and milk mobile manifests are submitted in a timely manner. Utilize and review Mobile Manifest application for accuracy of milk picked up and delivered. Reconcile and balance recorded farm milk shipments with recorded milk plant receipts. Prepare and submit accurate, timely invoices to all assigned customers for their raw milk purchases.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly balancing with assigned customers
• Utilize and review Mobile Manifest application for accuracy of milk picked up and delivered to ensure timely payment to producers
• Invoice assigned customers in a timely, accurate fashion
• Lead special project initiatives as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in accounting preferred
• Three to five years of office experience, working with an automated accounting system

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of job performance
• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
• Experience using SAP highly desired
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Goal oriented
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to read, write and speak English

Compensation Details:

This position is eligible for vacation, sick time, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, AD&D, long-term disability, short-term disability, 401k, and flex-spending/HSA benefits. Compensation range for the position is $18.50 - $20.00 per hour based on candidate qualifications.
