The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Academic/Student Support Associate 5 - Admissions/Reporting to be located at the Dickson Campus. This is not a remote work position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical diploma in occupational area required; Associate Degree preferred. A comparable combination of education and related employment experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in an office environment; experience in higher education preferred.
  • Banner experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience using a Customer Relations Management system (Slate) preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience using multiple business software applications including online record systems, Word, Access, Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Ability to tactfully and effectively communicate with the public and employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and submit accurate reports with close attention to details.
  • Demonstrated experience of time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at once with minimal direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of general financial aid information preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies, regulations and manuals.
  • Ability to design and maintain record-keeping systems.

GENERAL DUTIES: The Academic/Student Support Associate 5 for Admissions and Reporting is responsible for a broad range of tasks in a fast-paced office setting. The Academic/Student Support Associate 5 is responsible for processing new student applications and all related enrollment processes. This position also prepares reports and surveys for federal and state agencies and assists other members of the TCAT Dickson Leadership team in preparing various reports by compiling and providing needed data. Some duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling and providing tours to prospective students as needed.
  • Tracking the number of open seats in each non-health program to determine how many applicants are needed for the next enrollment date.
  • Contacting applicants on wait lists to schedule enrollment dates and orientation. Explain the process of orientation, seat confirmation, and registration.
  • Entering, maintaining, and compiling data for various internal and external reports using a variety of advanced software applications.
  • Completing and submitting all assigned reports in a timely manner.
  • Assisting prospective and current students with completing online applications, setting up campus e-mails, registration issues, completing surveys, etc.
  • Providing front desk and phone coverage as needed.
  • Assisting with new student orientation and graduation tasks.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch. This position reports to the Student Services Coordinator.

SALARY: $33,748-$42,185. Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines, directly related experience and education.
