What is a Diverse Workforce?

What is a Diverse Workforce?
There is a lot of talk about diversity and inclusion in the workplace, but what exactly makes up a diverse workforce?

While workplace diversity includes having similarities and differences between coworkers. Examples of a diverse workforce include employees with cultural diversity, racial diversity, religious diversity, age diversity, sex / gender diversity, sexual orientation, and disability.

No person is the same, and when it comes to workforce diversity, one of the best things that can be done to increase productivity is to make the workplace inclusive.

As discussed in a previous blog post, an inclusive workplace encourages all employees to participate and feel values in the workplace. By doing this, it also encourages different strengths to be shared for the overall betterment of an organization.

Have you ever worked for a diverse workforce? Chances are it may have been one of the most productive workplaces you have ever been a part of. With the right leadership, and having individuals buy into a culture of participation, a diverse workforce can do things other workforces cannot.
