Writing a Job-Winning Résumé
1-hour session
Do you need help creating or fine-tuning your résumé?
This individual session assists applicants with how to prepare a basic or professional résumé that reflects their skills, knowledge, and education that are relevant to the job they are seeking. Topics include what information to include on your résumé, how to clearly present your skills and abilities, different styles of résumés, and common mistakes made on a résumé. Applicants will receive one-on-one help with their résumé and cover letter critique with the option of choosing this session in a face-to-face setting or virtually.
How to sign up: Interested applicants must have applied for civil service employment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and be actively seeking employment on campus or be a current UIUC employee. Please submit an exam request for RESUME HELP and you will be contacted to schedule a session. Sessions are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month with a morning or afternoon option on alternating days. A face mask is required to be worn during face-to-face sessions.
