Our Life & Safety Technology Group is currently seeking a VOIP Engineer for our Longmont office located at 1601 Dry Creek Drive, however this role will work remotely due to the current pandemic, but are beginning to return to the office in mid July.

The VoIP Engineer is responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrade of Intrado's VoIP deployments. This position involves tier 4 support of application and network hardware from our NOC group. Our ideal candidate is someone that can:

  • Create and give yearly training, on specific tops to our NOC and other groups
  • Translate end user and carrier problems into actionable solutions
  • Be a self-starter and be able to work individually, while still being able to work well in a collaborative environment

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain Softswitch HW & SW, and working with Vendor for unique config changes and bugs
  • Create Call Flow and Connectivity Documentation for new Carrier T1s & Interconnects
  • Collaborate with Business & Sales Department contacts as well as Customers, Carriers, and End-Users
  • Be able to work, create, maintain, & update Oracle Templates and standard configurations
  • Be able to work and test with Oracle SBC Customers in an Interop Environment
  • Some On-Call work on a set rotation
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking, MIS, Telecommunications or related field required however, equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience and Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in network planning, network implementations or telephony with an emphasis in VoIP required
  • Experience with Sonus/Ribbon Hardware & Software (specifically PSX, GSX and EMS)
  • Experience with Oracle Session Border Controller configurations including changing and saving new individual configurations, System configurations, Network configurations, and HMRs
  • Experience with ESINet based enhanced A911 Services, Networks, Call Routing, and Call Flows
  • Experience with TDM/Legacy T1, DS3, Voice DS0s, SS7 DS0s, & CAS DS0 for Install, Testing, & Acceptance

The compensation for this position is expected to be $92,000 to $108,000 for candidates located in Colorado and will commensurate with experience.
