Position Summary

The Visual Presentation Planner conceptualizes, designs, and publishes press-ready files for the corporate Monthly Activity Guidebook. The Visual Presentation Planner will collaborate with multiple cross-functional departments to obtain and/or validate detailed information. Additionally, the Visual Presentation Planner will write instructions and analyze display spreadsheets for information and proof publications for content.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, edit, and publish the Monthly Guide Book and online documents including desktop publishing, graphic design, and writing/editing content
  • Collaborate with buyers to gather information
  • Produce item reports based on provided SKU item details
  • Manage pre-production proofing sessions with merchandising teams
  • Confirm seasonal and promotional planograms by matching planograms with detailed display information
  • Coordinate sign delivery dates with advertising department to ensure quantity is appropriate and delivery matches store set dates
  • Other tasks and duties that may arise to meet Driveline and/or client business needs

Technology & Skill Set Requirements
  • Knowledge of Mac OS and desktop/graphic design software preferred, including but not limited to Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Strong editing skills to produce error-free documents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and produce under short timelines and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to think independently and condense information from multiple sources down to one cohesive message
  • Highly motivated, dependable, and flexible in order to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong technical writing skills to create clear written communications conveying information that may be moderate to highly complex in nature

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field required
  • 3 - 5 years of retail experience preferred
  • Experience in layout design and/or as a writer/editor of a publication is a plus
  • Knowledge of merchandising and operations principles and practices a plus
