Truck Driver - Belly Dump

Position Summary

This position delivers aggregate and asphalt material using belly dump trailers.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Hauls asphalt material to construction job sites
• Exercises good judgment regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site
• Maintains safe and mechanical operation of truck and trailer
• Performs routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and report defects and repairs to maintenance department
• Conducts daily pre-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel and oil
• Other construction or labor related duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits
• Perform well in a "TEAM" environment
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Willing to work hours that are associated to the construction industry, including overtime, nights and weekends as needed
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Minimum Education and Experience

• Valid CDL class A driver license
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience required
• 3+ years of related experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements & Conditions

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials

Compensation: $22.60 - $29.40 depends on experience.
