Location: Kent, WA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technician - EHS II
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Entry level leading to mid-level position with 2-4 years and working weekend/day or second shift hours depending on the need 2-4 years of industry experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing
Associate's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field experience, or working toward degree program
Self-starter and team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that is able to build relationships with employees at all levels
Strong computer aptitude including the latest Microsoft Office programs
Must successfully complete RCRA and DOT training within 30-90 days of the position for hazardous waste storage, disposal, and transportation
Experience forklift driver, must be willing to obtain current certifications including forklift and First Aid/CPR/AED
Operate electric vehicle and use various material handling equipment for waste management
Knowledge of incident reporting processes including 5-Whys
Strong self-management skills to keep on track with weekly and monthly tasks Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations Knowledge of close call reporting practices and processes
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Qualifications & Requirements:
3-5+ years total work, 5 years in aerospace or industrial manufacturing 3 years in safety or environmental roles that include hazardous waste management, general building inspections, and record management Knowledge of Washington State safety and environmental regulations First Aid/CPR/AED and HAZMAT/emergency response training Skill/Experience/Education Mandatory Skills forklift, RCRA/DOT, self learner, strong communication, knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations Desired Skills First Aid/CPR/AED and HAZMAT/emergency response training
