Primary Function

In this position you will utilize your experience to support the Project Surveyor in organizing, executing, and coordinating projects. This position provides office support to a Professional Land Surveyor on various boundary, topographic, route projects, and ALTA surveys along with platting.

Primary Duties

• Compile and research existing data for projects as needed to efficiently complete survey requirements.
• Coordinate and assist in preparing project estimates and schedules.
• Analyze deeds, title reports and other research materials for the production of survey maps and reports.
• Write and review legal descriptions.
• Complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure QC process has been completed prior to survey products advancing to Project Manager review.
• Responsible for technical performance on small projects and/or designated tasks on large projects.
• Guides, mentors, and directs survey analysts and technicians in the completion of their assignments.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Demonstrated tract to acquire Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida, in accordance with Chapter 472, Florida Statutes. Current SIT licensure preferred
• Basic knowledge of land surveying principle and practices.
• Understanding of Carlson and/or Civil 3D CADD software.
• Perform necessary calculations essential to the practice of surveying.
• Able to provide excellent customer service and meet project schedules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Skill in planning, organizing, and managing multiple work assignments concurrently.
• Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• 2+ years surveying experience.
• 4-year degree fulfilling the State of FL requirement for licensure, or on tract to complete degree within 1 year.
