Strategic Sourcing Coordinator

We are searching for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Coordinator for our Store Support Center, located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA 90040.

TheStrategic Sourcing Coordinator supports Smart & Final's Strategic SourcingProgram, which leverages both the company's and 3rd Party e-Sourcing technologyto continuously improve procurement processes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works directly for the Director of Strategic Sourcing with dotted line reporting to Private Label Product Managers.
  • Facilitates multiple eRFX events and auctions for Private Label categories (resale goods) and Indirect (not-for-resale) categories. This includes eRFX event and auction documentation, set up, communication, strategy, and post-event summary and analysis.
  • Fully understands the e-sourcing solution tool, and the ability to make deployment recommendations.  Trains eRFX event observers and suppliers on the use of the tool.
  • Monitors Direct eRFX annual schedule for Private Label events to ensure product managers meet deadlines for deliverables.
  • Updates Direct eRFX schedule ongoing based on the introduction of new Private Label itemization.
  • Tracks direct cost changes for Private Label Categories submitted through the eRFP process.
  • Screens and addresses supplier questions submitted to the eRFX tool and Strategic Sourcing email.
  • Maintains historical data repository for past eRFP events.
  • Coordinates eRFP from draft to completion.
  • Verifies product specifications for Private Label items are on file for use in eRFP events.
  • Conducts supplier searches to increase participation in Private Label eRFP events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
B.A./B.S. or the equivalent combination ofeducation/experience in Strategic Sourcing and/or office support role. Strong interpersonaland PC skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts,general business emails, and communications, professional journals, technicalprocedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and businesscorrespondence and communicate effectively both written and orally.

COMPUTER/PC SKILLS
Advanced personal computer skills including the MS Office programs; Word,Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the ability to apply skills and tools toessential duties and responsibilities is required. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to interpret and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,interest, commissions, rebates, percentages, etc.  Ability to compose spreadsheets and buildspreadsheet formulas that validate numeric input.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to problemsolve and arrive at conclusions where only limited information or dataexists.

The associate must occasionally lift and/ormove up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
