Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:

Position Requirements:

• BS degree in Supply Chain Management, or Engineering, plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent.
• A technical education, or deep knowledge of IT Hardware is a must.
• Experience in sourcing processes (i.e., RFx development and execution) and reviewing, analyzing, drafting and negotiating contract terms with respect to major projects of medium/high complexity.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to analyze and explain pricing models and contract terms.
• Strong understanding of legal concepts as related to contract negotiation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, internal business customers and senior management.
• Proficiency in Google / Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Docs/Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Work well under pressure, ability to multitask and skilled time manager that is comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Proven results with implementing standard procurement best practices, building strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers, and consulting on procurement best practices for cross-functional project teams.
• Understanding of manufacturing and cost modeling behind hardware products, commodities, and components.
• Understanding of business contract law, and experience with negotiating contracts (i.e., Master Agreements & Statement of Works) for Data Center Hardware Relocation Services as well as IT Asset Disposal for Data Center Hardware
• Knowledge of key hardware commodities and components (i.e., CPU, HDD, SSD, Memory, NICs, etc.), business operations and ability to find efficiency gains and cost advantages through next generation technology
• Collect information and analyze supplier market data, including industry structure and demographics, supplier performances, cost dynamics, etc.
• Implement proactive procurement philosophies, strategies, policies, procedures, and systems where necessary.
• Influence cross-functional organizations while enhancing strong internal relationships to meet business requirements and cost objectives.
• Utilize RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage.
• Responsible for supplier management within the hardware category with the objective to monitor and improve supplier performance where applicable.
