General Description of Position: 

The accountant will prepare routine journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations and special projects. The accountant will also support the different functional areas of accounting to include Corporate, Revenue, Expense, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Capital.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries as assigned.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as assigned monthly to ensure data integrity and timely recording of expenses.
  • Contribute to monthly closing review and complete checklist items as assigned.
  • Document accounting processes and procedures as needed.
  • Aid special projects and backup support as assigned.
  • Support audit tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain current knowledge of sound accounting procedures and utilizes Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Performs other related duties, special projects, and ad hoc reporting.

 



Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 2-4 years preferred of relevant work experience
  • Bachelors’ Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with integrated accounting/reporting systems
  • Ability work in groups and independently
  • Ability to work in a fast past environment and meet stringent deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
