Role overview:

The Sr. Software Engineer, reporting to Sr Mgr, Software Engineering is responsible for solving hard problems and finding solutions that drive the business. As a part of the Enterprise data team, you will be working on a high priority, dynamic, data driven team. A day in the life...

• Interface with end users to gather, understand and translate requirements into the Agile delivery process
  
• Work closely with product owners, designers, other developers, architects, quality engineers, and DevOps to deliver innovative solutions that solve complex healthcare problems
  
• Design and implement highly performing EDW components used by internal Operations and Product team
  
• Technically lead the design and delivery of complex solutions end to end
  
• Manage individual sprint priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  
• Proactively seek to improve engineering principles, processes, tools, and frameworks
  
• Build out an Enterprise Data warehouse consuming data from Telephony and CRM systems and building APIs to expose data from data lake.
  
• Build data ingestion engine, Data API's, data processing using Python, synchronizing data between up and down stream systems; EMR, Apache Spark, AWS RDS, Dynamo, RedShift, and s3
  
• Ensure that we are continuously raising our standard of data engineering excellence by implementing best practices for coding, testing and deploying
  
• Experience in building and working in a heavy agile, collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment
  
• Self-driven and ability to lead complex projects
  
• Ability to influence others and direction of projects
  

What we are looking for...

• Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business, Information Management, Computer Science Engineering related fields.
  
• 5-8 years experience in working with open-source distributed data processing technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Spark or Databricks.
  
• 5+ Years experience in Python or any other Object Oriented technology (e.g., Java, Scala)
  
• Experience in designing & developing microservices and Data API's using AWS/GCP/Azure Cloud technologies and related services.
  
• Ensure adherence to published development standards and spark best practices, resulting in consistent and efficient implementation of project components.
  
• Experience with designing & developing serverless applications using native Cloud Services (e.g., Lambda, AWS Batch)
  
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL database systems such as AWS Redshift & DynamoDB.
  
• Experience with CI/CD processes such as Shippable/Cloudbees/AWS Codedeploy.
  
• Advanced Knowledge of tools, techniques and manipulation including Cloud Platforms, Programming languages and modern software engineering principles.
  
• Experience working in a heavy agile, collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment
  
• Ability to be hands on with technical strategy around data platform, code reviews, testing and deployment.
  
• Hands-on, skillful communicator detail-oriented, methodical & inquisitive, skillful communicator
  
• An excellent problem solver and able to quickly grasp complex challenges.
  
• Experience with Healthcare Data a huge plus.
