Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Network Telecom Engineer
Job Description:
You will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, customization, and support of the entire global telecommunications and networking environment. This includes Cisco networks and voice platforms CUCM, UCCX, firewalls, load balancers, filtering appliances, and peripheral systems and components.
Duties and responsibilities Designs and maintains all Janus network, VoIP, PBX, and associated network/telecommunications equipment
Provides technical support on all issues related to network, telecommunications, voice and data circuits
Provides reliable, efficient, and secure network/telecommunications design and engineering
Operates as a primary technical resource on the architecture, implementation, management and maintenance for all networking and telecommunications systems, hardware and software
Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots hardware, software, and circuits
Maintains and manages all recording systems (Nice NTR, Redbox, IPC IMR and Calabrio)
IPC Unigy Turret trading system installation and support as required (Unigy 360 / Connexus Unigy exposure welcomed)
Develop and promote operating procedures, provides proactive process improvement, utilizes standard methodologies, where applicable to identify and mitigate platform risk
Analyzes performance trends, identifies workflow or technology gaps, and recommends changes in an effort to improve quality, efficiency, and client experience
Utilizes enterprise level thinking to improve security and stability of the network and telecommunication environments
Effectively works in a team environment and is a good communicator
Carry out additional duties as assigned
Technical skills and qualifications Significant level of knowledge of Cisco CUCM and related Unified Communications products including Unity Connection, Expressway gateways for MRA/B2B calling, Jabber softphone
UCCX support and scripting skills required with proven support experience of call center environment essential
Cloud based conferencing knowledge of WebEx/Zoom platforms and related technologies required
Cisco video conferencing support including TMS, SX / Webex Room Kit and Room Kit + endpoints
In depth knowledge of voice/networking including: SIP, Q931,TCP/IP, OSPF, SSL, HTTP, SNMP, NAC & WiFi
Solid understanding of core networking equipment (Cisco routers and switches)
Knowledge of IPC trading turret systems (on-prem or cloud)
Experience with circuit orders and billing/contracts maintenance
Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products and other support programs as required
B.S. in related field or equivalent experience
Applicable Cisco certifications preferred
7+ years' experience in Cisco network and telecommunications engineering, network and call routing, performance tuning and support in a 7x24X365 enterprise organization with a global network/telecommunications environment
