Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of electric machines for off-highway products.
  • Lead creation and documentation of electric machine specifications.
  • Support engineering and purchasing team in the supplier selection.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure requirements and engineering standards are met while maintaining best industry practices.
  • Lead modeling and simulation of electric machines.
  • Lead internal and external design reviews.
  • Create strategy and roadmap with CNH innovation team for next generation of electric machines and position sensors.
  • Benchmarking the current state-of-the-art in electric machines for off-highway and on-highway applications.
  • Plan and execute Design verification, Product Validation and DFMEA for electric machines.
  • Collaborate with motor suppliers, technical leads and program manager to provide efficient solutions to prototype and production issues related to electric machines and its integration with inverter.
  • Support development of in-house motor testing facilities and manage external partners to validate and evaluate performance of electric machines.
  • Build and mentor a team of electric machine design engineers, calibration and test engineers.
  • This role pays between $112,000-$150,700 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or related degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
  • Past OEM experience or Tier-1 product development experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD. with specialization in electric machine design.
  • Deep knowledge of electric machine controls and calibration.
  • Basic knowledge about Functional Safety and EMI/EMC.
  • Hands-on dyno testing experience.
