Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role:

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to support key Employee Technology Experiences programs. This role will be responsible for managing multiple technology projects of large scope, impact, and complexity through all phases of the life cycle, spanning multiple cross functional teams and geographic locations.

Our PMO team supports our internal applications, including HR, Finance and Legal. Our team supports the internal infrastructure that enables PayPal to be successful.

Job Description:

Your way to impact:

  • Play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects.
  • Responsible for managing the project team and schedules, focusing on execution to the project plan.
  • You will be responsible for facilitating dialogue with the various stakeholders to understand their needs and drive teams to develop solutions to meet or exceed our customer needs.
  • In this role, you will proactively identify and report on risks, issues and dependencies for the project or program, and manage projects to successful on time, on within budget and with quality delivery
  • Manage efforts that involve 3rd party consulting and/or vendor product companies
  • Will be responsible for defining KPIs, and removing the roadblocks to the teams ability to meet their deliverables.

What you need to bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with a minimum of 8+ years experience managing moderately-sized projects and programs from start to finish within highly complex operating environments
  • Extensive experience leading global, multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced, change intensive environments
  • Strong project management full life cycle experience in large scale projects leveraging different methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) and the ability to work with large and diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple software development methodologies, including in-depth knowledge of Agile delivery practices
  • Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across organizational boundaries to drive closure of complex delivery challenges
  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to quickly understand and communicate technical concepts and challenges across a wide-ranging audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to deliver program statuses, roadmaps, business outcomes, and metrics.Strong organizational skills to balance multiple, ambitious priorities simultaneously.
