Cedar Fair is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst at the Sandusky, OH office. The Senior FP&A Analyst will be responsible for completing analysis necessary to make decisions that lead to a better allocation of company resources and that ensures company priorities and initiatives are properly funded.

 

The Senior FP&A Analyst will report to the Corporate Director of FP&A and will collaborate extensively with both Finance and Operational leaders at both the Park and Corporate level.  These team members include Park Operations, Business Intelligence, Operational Accounting, Centralized Finance, and Controllership.


How You'll Make A Difference:

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in near and long-term FP&A including budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, resource management and multi-year financial planning.
  • Partner with Corporate Director of FP&A to develop financial models and analyses to provide financial consulting and support for decision making around strategic initiatives, new business opportunities, and acquisitions.
  • Partner with Corporate Director of FP&A to build and maintain integrated capital project reporting system and consistent ROI analyses.
  • Become FP&A toolset and software platform subject matter expert to facilitate business partner adoption of newly created processes, best practices in modeling, financial tools, communication, and coordination.
  • Help operationalize the transition from current annual budgeting process to continuous/perpetual budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work with new business intelligence function and leverage business intelligence technology platforms.
  • Review and advise finance and accounting teams on appropriate key performance indicators.
  • Support accounting and finance teams with operational reporting and related analysis.
  • Directs and supervises FP&A staff.
  • Effective in an office or remote work environment.

We're Looking For:

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 6-8  years public accounting or combined public accounting and industry related experience.
  • Demonstration of strong background in financial analysis or related activities.
  • Multi-location, multi-departmental experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accounting designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle suite of financial products, with an emphasis on Hyperion and JDE preferred.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, pursuant to Company policy.
