Manages ongoing operations and support of data management (data assets, data policy adherence, data quality, etc.), primarily focused on ensuring critical operational data is well organized and optimized to support the day-to-day business. Supports data models to describe data and its relationships in a consistent way to support business and technical objectives.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for independently designing, modeling, and supporting enterprise data models.

• Understands, interprets and documents the data needs of the business on medium to high complexity projects
• Provides input to data models, minimizing data element redundancy and maximizing the compatibility and usefulness of data
• Ensures that project team members are aligned with the data governance processes
• Promotes the principles of data resource management and data sharing, reuse of databases and single source data strategy
• Defines data management standards, policies and procedures and single source data strategy
• Develops the guidelines and standards for cataloging and maintaining data repositories
• Partners with Database Administration to ensure that the physical data model meets client specifications
• Adheres to applications security procedures, change control guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley IT and business requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
• University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in SAP Hana Platform (ERP and/or MDG)
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Business oriented thinking vs focusing solely on technology
