Your Role:

MilliporeSigma is looking for a Scientist to join the R&D group. The Scientist will contribute to the success of the organization through design, preparation, characterization and application of novel and breakthrough sample preparation chromatographic technologies. Specific job duties include:

  • Assist in the development of new products and provide technical insights for the design of products
  • Develop quality control methods and specifications
  • Use technical knowledge and expertise to plan and execute laboratory experiments, compile technical reports and presentations
  • Transfer new products and processes into manufacturing, and support marketing initiatives
  • Work well within multifunctional teams to bring both applied and fundamental expertise to projects
  • Perform laboratory work within safety company guidelines

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Science discipline
  • 1 + years of lab experience (industrial or academic)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of lab experience in a professional setting
  • Experience with chromatographic separations including operation of laboratory instruments
  • Hands-on experience with large biomolecules and LC/MS
  • Knowledge and experience in absorbent materials manufacturing and material science can be considered for this position
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
