Job Summary:

Processes customer returns and generates all related documentation.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responds to inquiries, provides necessary follow-up and initiates related correspondence.
  • Verifies material part numbers and quantity, and enters return/damage/short information into system.
  • Ensures documentation such as Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) and other such documents are complete, accurate and processed appropriately.
  • May work with the customer to provide repair quotes and obtain customer approval and purchase order (PO) for repair.
  • Ensures In Process Failures (IPF) are handled promptly by working with quality and integration teams to understand the scope of failure.
  • Also works with inventory control and the supplier to ensure correct steps are taken to disposition material in a timely manner.
  • Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Acquires basic skills through work experience or formal training to perform routine tasks.
  • Tasks are routine, repetitive and manual in nature with minimal complexity or variation and specific to the job.
  • Work is performed under supervision with detailed instructions. Priorities are provided for performing work.
  • Interacts mostly with immediate peers within assigned team. Based on nature of the role, may respond to requests from others in the organization.
  • Impact of decisions is primarily contained to the work of the job.

Work Experience:
  • Typically requires less than one year of related experience.

Education and Certification(s):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • May require standing for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 55 pounds
  • Requires basic computer, email, phone & communication skills
  • May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • May require forklift certification
