Relationship Manager (RM)

As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of Non-Profit and Religious clients. This role requires the Relationship Manager to be active in the communities First Bank serves, represent the Bank’s philanthropic mission, and grow the overall portfolio of clients. The Relationship Manager must possess a passion for working with Non-Profit and Religious organizations, have the ability to identify, target and cultivate relationships with key organizations that align with the Bank’s philanthropic mission and business goals, and have a deep understanding of banking services including a strong knowledge of credit.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Active solicitation of new Non-Profit business and growth of new relationships
  • Independently handling all Non-Profit relationships, including complex loan structures required for permanent, bridge and construction lending.
  • Capable of cross selling bank products including Deposits, Treasury Management and Wealth Management.
  • Providing leadership to other bankers within the group.
  • Generating New Business for the Non-Profit Group as well as other divisions within the Bank
  • Preparing and supervising loan packages for presentation to Senior Management and Loan Committee.
  • Assuming full responsibility for quality, completeness and accuracy of all loan documentation in the loan portfolio, proactively manages loan asset quality.
  • Contributing to the Bank's and Group's overall management objectives by participating in leadership meetings and supporting Bank goals.
  • Participating in community-oriented and professional organizations to provide additional networking and referral opportunities.
What Do You Need for this Position?

  • Knowledge, Skills & Ability
    • Ability to interpret financial data
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents
    • Using critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
    • Operating at the highest standard of confidentiality, and behaving in a manner that engenders trust and openness
    • Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups and/or boards of directors
    • Established knowledge of faith based, education and non-profit lending is required
    • Proficient in Word/Excel required, other Microsoft programs a plus
    • Salesforce and Precision Lender experience a plus
    • Ability to travel 25% of the time (domestic travel)

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
    • Strong local community involvement strongly preferred
    • Seven or more years of related experience and/or training to include formal credit training
    • Seven or more years' experience as a Commercial Loan Officer
    • Proficient in Word/Excel required, other Microsoft programs a plus

The range for this role takes into account many factors that First Bank considers when making hiring decisions, including but not limited to, prior experience, skill set, training, and other internal business and organizational factors. First Bank generally does not hire at or near the top of the range below. The range is driven by the geographic location of our estimated hiring location; however, the specific range may vary depending on the geographic location for remote positions.Compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each hiring instance.

Min: $157,000 Mid: $196,000 Max: $235,000
