About the Position:

The Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) Registration Coordinator is the unit's primary contact with students throughout their registration process and onboarding for their programs. They manage enrollment processes and procedures for students in certificate programs, with many electives and multiple registrations as well as singular CAPE courses. Project management and communications with instructors, students and programming team are essential. These responsibilities also include managing all payment avenues for the students based on the program, such as; payment plans, Sallie Mae loans, discounts, escrow, refunds, etc. They also coordinate badges, certificates and awards after completion of programs for the students. This person ensures an excellent student experience entering and leaving the programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide students with guidance on selecting open enrollment courses and/or facilitating registration and fee collection for ongoing enrollment of non-credit students through completion/graduation, including verification of enrollment eligibility and funds availability.
  • Must be a power user in our SIS, Canvas, Credly and CRM systems to run processes and enter data for enrolling, recording and reporting.
  • Service students with all payment plans, apply payments, manage payment contracts and submissions/approvals.
  • Collect documentation for students with atypical circumstances or additional forms and approval requirements, monitoring enrollment of students.
  • Verify and provide documentation of grades/completion status to appropriate program office, ensuring documentation transfer between systems of record, credential badges and provide non-credit transcripts and certificates, as requested.
  • Send general student communications: such as course reminders, updates to time/location, inclement weather or other schedule change announcements, etc.
  • Work with program 3rd party providers to gather student data and any additional program support as needed.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High school diploma is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

A minimum of (2) years of professional office administrative support work or customer service experience working directly with clients is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate with experience assisting adult learners and a diverse student population is preferred. Candidate that possess experience providing student recruiting, advising or admissions/registrar is a plus. Candidate with experience working with Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) and a student information/registration database system is preferred. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in alpha numeric data entry. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office suite applications (e.g. Excel, Word and Outlook) is required.

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills.

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
