Position Title: Regional Business Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

Your role

Digital Realty is seeking to add a Regional Business Manager to our Global Sales Operations Team responsible for supporting deals inbound to the North America region. The Regional Business Manager works closely with overseas Account Managers and liaises with US-based team (e.g., Solutions Engineers, Commercial Management, Product Management, Operations, etc.) to help drive opportunities and customer projects to closure.

What you'll do

  • Serve as single point of contact for and work with out-of-region Account Owners to coordinate activities around inbound opportunities
  • Create opportunities and maintain opportunity details, updates, and status in SDFC as the opportunity owner. Liaise with the account owner to ensure accurate opportunity forecasting
  • Produce and revise quotes from applicable quoting tools
  • Serve as interface between Account Owners and local operations to set up and manage customer responses and tours of data centers
  • Where delegated by the Account Owner, directly engage with customers for reactive transactional sales
  • Coordinate regional responses to RFPs from out-of-region opportunities
  • Produce ad hoc reporting from SFDC

What you'll need

  • 3-5 years of related work experience preferably in the data center, telecommunications, IT, or technology industries (mid-level position)
  • Ability to analyze multiple requests for support and prioritize appropriately
  • Ability to recognize and manage those tasks that you are responsible for while advancing those tasks where you are accountable
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with openness and transparency to meet goals
  • Ability to self-start, self-motivate, self-sustain, and self-improve to deliver on role expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with team members across seniority levels
  • Ability and eagerness to develop understanding of the customer business and IT strategy and infrastructure
  • Natural focus on customer satisfaction
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Familiarity working with and navigating a CRM tool such as Salesforce.com; expectation is to log all sales activities (e.g., email, call, updates) daily.
  • Proven ability to work well as part of an extended sales team
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Degree required; University Degree in IT, Engineering or business preferred
