Job Description
Plans, coordinates, and directs a quality assurance program designed to ensure production is consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
*Determine and maintain quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
*Interpret the quality philosophy and program to key personnel in organization
*Develop, implement, and maintain standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products or components
*Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration of products or components to assure the required quality standards are met
*Apply statistical process control methods to analyze data for the purpose of evaluating the current process and process changes
*Review data obtained during quality control and assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures
*Develop and implement new preventive solutions to problems identified during quality activities
*Review design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records
*Recommend whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review of the vendor's performance in regards to quality
*Keep management team abreast of significant issues, developments, actions pertaining to quality assurance activities
*Direct employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products
*Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality regulations and standards
*Develop, implement, and perform quality training for the location
*Administrate the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program which includes, but is not limited to recommending actions and responses with regard to customer claims, investigating claims, reporting findings, and developing and implementing any corrective actions and preventive actions as a result of the investigation
*Act as a contact point for testing taking place at the location. Expected to attend all major tests and ensure quality standards are met, processes information is documented, required testing is completed, approve or reject product based on those results, and notify the appropriate individuals of the item's status
*Administrate and enforce the engineering change notification process at the plant level.
*Maintain material, product, and component specifications and information.
*Administrate the location's NSF International program. Includes, but is not limited to performing audits, maintaining appropriate documentation, putting together plans for corrective actions, and interacting with NSF International auditors.
*Other duties may be assigned.


·         Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         HACCP and/or SQF certification required
