Job Description

  • Assist project managers with client proposals by reviewing provided documents, creating a variance table, and notating specific requirements;
  • Perform QA review of laboratory generated data reports per project specific and/or SOP requirements;
  • Generate quarterly Limits of Detection and Limits of Quantitation reports per Department of Defense and Department of Energy requirements;
  • Generate, review, and trend control charts per Statistical Process Control (SPC) rules;
  • Perform internal audits per SOP, NELAP and DoD/DOE requirements;
  • Complete accreditation renewals and amend applications;
  • Prepare internal proficiency testing (PT) schedule, review PT data provided by the laboratory, and generate report;
  • Creates, reviews and revises forms and instructions for use in the laboratory as needed;
  • Creates logbooks for use in the laboratory;
  • Archive department files as needed;
  • Support the overall implementation of the QA program;
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continuous basis, stand for prolonged periods; work upright, bend and use hands and arms repetitively to perform moderate physical work duties; the ability to push carts with objects on board weighing up to 50 pounds; hearing and speaking are needed to listen effectively and talk with individuals in person or on the phone; specific vision abilities required by this job include; close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Hazardous Material Handling:

The Eurofins Air Toxics laboratory houses chemicals necessary for the analysis of various environmental samples. These chemicals can be harmful if not properly handled. The list includes but is not limited to; cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gasses including helium, nitrogen and hydrogen, sharps and liquid solvents such as methylene chloride, acetonitrile and acetone. This position requires the ability to safely handle and transport these bulk chemicals. The employee will be required to read and reference the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program for additional information and instruction
