Job Description
  • Looking for Assistant Project Manager with a degree
  • Understanding of local market and experience preferred
  • Used vision point and Primavera (P6)
  • Work with Project Manager to assist design efforts, solicit and qualify bids, develop contract documents, manage construction documents, financials
  • 3+ years experience for proven assistant project managers who have lead work from dirt to completion
  • 4-year degree in Construction science, business or finance degree desirable.
  • Previous experience as Project Engineer with a construction contractor
Responsibilities
  • Assist with cost estimates during design through active bid procurement
  • Assist in developing contract documents and pre qualify subs and vendors
  • Visit site periodically and assist coordination of on site activities with Superintendent
  • Manage subcontractor contract compliance
  • Develop detailed scopes of work by trade to include as exhibits in contract documents
  • Prepare schedule exhibits by duration for all subcontractors
  • Ensure all materials are procured well in advance of the time needed
  • Review daily reports from superintendent
  • Monitor all materials test reports for compliance with standards and specifications
  • Obtain shop drawings from subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure timely review and approval by architects and engineers so that there are no delays to schedule
  • Ensure that materials are being used where and how intended
  • Monitor field generated requests prior to commencement of extra work
  • Assist with preparation of final punch list for all subcontractors and ensure all items
  • are completed prior to release of retainage payment
  • Ensure as-built plan set is completed by superintendent
