SUMMARY:

Working closely with the Dean and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Program Manager will assist in preparing for Law School's re-accreditation and site visit including collecting, analyzing and reporting data. The position will also support faculty programmatic initiatives including the Richmond Law & Business Forum and the Criminal Justice Forum. This is a 12-month, fixed-term, benefits-eligible position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Programmatic support for co-curricular initiatives:

• Assist in identifying lawyers and alumni to participate in events such as those sponsored by the Richmond Law & Business Forum and the Criminal Justice Forum.
• Manage invitations and communications with event participants and students.
• Publicize events and oversee event logistics.
• Collaborating with the communications team to maintain social media and other online channels.

Re-accreditation site visit:

• Collect data and assemble reports..
• Draft responses to the ABA Site Evaluation Questionnaire.
• Assist in logistical planning for the site team visit.

Other projects:

• Provide assistance as needed for other departments including Student Affairs, Admissions and the Career Development Office.
• Conduct research on legal education and comparisons with other law schools.
• Assist in building alumni databases.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent relationship management skills to develop rapport among students, staff, University departments, alumni, employers, and guests of the University.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong writing and communications skills and attention to detail.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous experience managing multi-faceted projects preferred
• Experience in a law-related field or higher education preferred

WORK HOURS:

• Full-time, non-exempt position
• Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 7.75 hrs./day; 38.75 hrs./week
• This position is limited term for one year

SALARY STRUCTURE:
Pay Grade 5 (Hiring Range: $18.79 to $24.90 per hour)
