Position Summary

Primary responsibility is to oversee, assist, and support the day to day purchasing activities and functions of the plant. In addition, will provide support as necessary to support Operation, Maintenance, Engineering, Accounting, and Corporate items on day to day activities and project support.

Requirements

  • Oversee and administer Purchase Orders (OP's) to manage inventory per the PO generator in JDE on a bi-weekly basis. This also includes repaired/rebuilt items that need sent out for repair.
  • Oversee and administer Purchase Orders (NB's) for daily plant operations that include mobile equipment garage, rental equipment, waste disposal, service work and contractor work.
  • Assist in management of procurement activities (EP's) that support the daily operations such as Oracle Cloud purchases (Shell, Fastenal, Amazon, etc).
  • Oversee storeroom personnel and the daily warehouse/storeroom activities such as but not limited to: Safety items/concerns, material receipts, material issues, item labeling and identification, cycle counting, loading/unloading of trucks/freight, arranging shipments, vendor managed inventory, forklift operation, cleaning kiln guns, housekeeping, and any other duties as required.
  • Assist in resolving account payable issues, setup new vendors, and ensure contractors meet safety requirements.
  • Assist accounting in month end accrual process for cost estimates.
  • Oversee and assist in creation of new inventory part #'s (Add to stock's) and work with corporate as necessary to setup in JDE.
  • Assist on support of the Equipment Parts Catalogue in JDE on existing equipment (assets) and develop parts lists for new equipment (asset) installations (CER's)
  • Support asset management on new equipment (CER's) on the x-drive with proper manuals, drawings, and any other pertinent information.
  • Participate and support operations/maintenance/engineering as required on special projects.
  • Aid in the improvement of procurement/warehouse/storeroom processes and documentation to support the day to day activities.
  • Other duties as required by the needs of Procurement, Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, or Corporate.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent field experience
    2+ years of procurement experience (manufacturing, construction or similar experience preferred).
  • Mechanical Aptitude and Process Equipment maintenance experience preferred.
  • JDE Experience preferred. Understanding and knowledge of ERP systems required.
  • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe required.
  • Advanced computer skills for reporting, information transfer, and analysis are necessary.
  • Ability to work with and communicate at all levels of management.
