About the Role

Old Navy is looking for a Photo Studio Stylist with an strong portfolio demonstrating on figure styling in a commercial and/or editorial fashion studio. This is a multifaceted role that will execute styling on figure, manage the Associate Stylist, ensure closet maintenance and development, interact with Merch Coordination, the Director of Styling, and the Senior Director of Creative to ensure on-set creative and processes are followed to a precise degree. This role may require assisting on editorial shoots, special projects and casting Studio Senior Stylist.

What You'll Do

  • Create aspirational on-brand styling while maintaining a strong level of detail that represents the product & fit while protecting a strong brand identity
  • Pull, organize, and style out looks for respective division(s) while maintaining a high level of organization of seasonal samples
  • Own style outs and on-set styling for respective division(s) with a cohesive understanding of the product, styling and merchandising strategies
  • Keep up to date on trends as they relate to fashion, retail, and photography and consistently provide fresh and innovative ways of evolving
  • Lead fittings for photo shoots with ability to speak to fit, product attributes, strategy, assortment, and product life cycle at any given time
  • Manage & inspire the Studio Associate Stylist to ensure imagery, outfitting and trend are constantly evolving. Lead with clear direction on deliverables and expectations while providing coaching and development within their role and career path
  • Partner with Senior Stylist to review style outs & photography with ability to take feedback, make changes, and apply learnings forward
  • Develop & maintain cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Sample, Production and HQ Styling teams to fully understand brand strategies to execute with confidence and expertise
  • Maintain and execute on the standard operating procedures and the styling guidelines
  • Work with Photographer and Art Director on-set to ensure product is styled and shot through an aspirational lens while adhering to the style guide
  • Partner with Creative Director, Art Director, Style Director, and Photography Manager to ensure seasonal styling reflects the brand's creative & styling direction while maintaining strategies of the site
  • Partner with the sample management team to develop & maintain a systematic and organized flow of all samples in and out of the studio. Ensure Associate Stylist is maintaining and managing the sample process
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change based on needs of the business
  • Execute and drive a strong attention to detail with an emphasis on style that pertains to the Old Navy customer
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, execute under tight deadlines, and maintain high quality standards that represent the brand
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change based on needs of the business

Who You Are

  • 5-7 years of professional on-figure styling experience within a commercial and editorial photography studio with a proven knowledge of supporting and driving a brand vision
  • 3+ years of managing a team of stylists
  • Professional on-figure portfolio
  • Understanding of market trends, visual composition & storytelling
  • Exceptional eye for detail and fit
  • Knowledge of commercial studio workflow
  • Previous experience working in a commercial photo studio
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of workflow simultaneously including prioritization, planning and task delegation under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and Google Docs
