CUMULUS MEDIA | Atlanta, GA has an immediate opening for aPayroll Manager at the Corporate Office. The Payroll Manager will lead the Payroll Team and the day-day today activities of the Payroll Department, including compliance with the Company's SOX controls and management of payroll audits and WorkDay system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all payroll processes (including daily oversight of payroll operations) to ensure accurate and timely payment of compensation via the Workday payroll system
• Manage all period, quarterly, and year-end tax reporting and reconciliation, including preparation of W-2s
• Manage payroll audits from beginning to end and directly interface with various audit entities
• Manage the production of garnishments and dues payments for multiple unions
• Manage the WorkDay Timekeeping system for transactions and updates
• Prepare payroll account analysis and reconciliation
• Manage a team of payroll administrators, including goal setting, coaching and feedback
• Assist employees with payroll-related questions
• Perform ad hoc analysis and assist Senior Finance Director with payroll related projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience hands-on payroll experience
• 5+ years of experience supervising staff
• All new hires must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by date of hire, subject to legally mandated accommodations
• Proven customer service approach working with all levels of employees
• Solid judgment and decision-making abilities, ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer skills (with an emphasis on the Microsoft suite software)
• Ability to work under pressure to meet payroll deadlines and work effectively with others
• Solid analytical/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
• Experience with annual employee reviews and setting goals
• WorkDay experience preferred
• CPP preferred
