Parts Fabricator/Finisher: Stamping (3rd Shift, 10pm-6am $21.98 per hour)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Sets up and operates one or more power presses to fabricate metal and rubber parts used in the manufacture of oil seals with adherence to specifications and applicable work instructions.
• Sets up and operates shearing and flanging machines to manufacture components to include the grooving, spinning, perforating, trimming, forming, fitting and grinding of metal components per work instructions
• Assembles and disassembles dies.
• Plans order sequence and orders material required.
• Installs and checks all safety devices per applicable work instructions.
• May sort parts, visually inspect and stamp parts, or perform other work of a similar nature.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance including but not limited to the oiling and care of machines and dies.
• Reads router to determine type of steel and die to be used to produce part.
• Perfs out Gylon element per the size on the router using lathe or punch press.
• Transports product as required, may require use of Lift Truck.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeps work area clean.
• Completes all associated documentation as deemed necessary by Supervision
• Follows all shop safety rules.
• Performs other jobs as assigned by Supervisor.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance including but not limited to oiling and care of machines.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Must be able to read and interpret prints and adjustable measuring devices as close tolerances must be observed in grinding and sanding parts.

POSTURE: standing, some stooping and bending

MAXIMUM WEIGHT TO BE LIFTED: Up to 35 lbs.( anything over 35 lbs. requires two people or mechanical means.)

FREQUENCY PER SHIFT: Up to 10 times per day.

REPETITIVE MOTION TASKS: Feeding parts

DURATION OF SHIFT: 10%

OTHER:

WORKING CONDITIONS: dirt, (dust), noise, water, oil, grease, and chemical solution

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office and Manufacturing Floor Position: Ability to perform sedentary work, spending extended periods of time working with a computer. Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.Clarity of vision to see near and mid-range.Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
