This position will work alongside our Manager of Operations of AAA Smart Home to investigate, develop and execute central operations improvements that will materially enhance our brand position and business growth objectives. This strategy role involves complex research, data analysis, cross functional collaboration, and business case development. The individual will also project manage pilots and scaling new operational opportunities for AAA Smart Home. It is critical that the consultant uses business knowledge and consulting skills to understand strategic value, fit, risks and operational complexities of process improvements within the broader business.


  • Acts as consultant with business partners to identify business improvement opportunities

  • Researches and monitors market trends and competitor activity

  • Designs and coordinates specific Customer and market surveys data analysis

  • Researches available data and requests necessary data from analytics team

  • Conducts data analysis and financial modeling

  • Identifies and develops specific customer segments to unlock business opportunities

  • Designs and implements appropriate geographic, demographic, demand, supply and other segmentation work strategy development

  • Acts as business lead for thought leadership, solution ideation, and business case development

  • Develop, recommend and present strategies to leadership team that continually innovate and improve our business performance

  • Secures necessary internal resources to support delivery of an approved business case project management

  • Works with project team to insure project budgets, resource plans, milestones, tracking metrics and success measures are achieved

  • Leverages agile methodology to test assumptions of pilot projects

  • Builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization to manage expectations as needed and keep a project moving forward

  • Completes special projects as assigned


  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative

  • A problem solver who is able to make smart simplifying assumptions

  • Self-starter with ability to handle multiple activities

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends

  • Ability to project manage cross functional teams

  • Ability to work independently and in teams

  • Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills--exhibiting attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability

  • Solid written and oral communication skills

  • Strong Excel modeling skills


  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or operations
