Job overview:

Oliver Wyman is looking for a dedicated PR team member who can work with the Global Director of External Affairs to help build the Oliver Wyman brand in the Americas. In this role you will have the ability to work across many different practices to create exciting and new storylines for media focused on financial services, retail and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
  • Work with various business functions to develop media pitches around content and IC awhile also having the ability to "newsjack" to position have Oliver Wyman partners as sources on breaking news
  • Write press release, media alerts, and other press materials
  • Secure and manage speaking opportunities for senior leaders in the Americas focused on key conferences/themes
  • Field copyright inquiries about using our data, content, expertise in media, universities or books
  • Brief and prepare spokespeople for interviews
  • Build relationships with partners
  • Expand and develop relationships with new media targets, especially key industry trades in the US
  • Work with social media team to leverage media coverage

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years' experience in public relations, either in-house or in an agency.
  • A track record of developing and delivering communication strategies is desirable, as is experience of working closely with journalists and responding to media requests.
