Job Description
In this role, you will help ensure that the CFS Brands IT Operations unit functions as a highly

professional and aligned service that efficiently meets the needs and expectations of CFS Brands and its users. This will be accomplished by working closely with IT management to maintain and update enterprise-level systems and core network hardware. This role will also serve as a project manager for high visibility technical projects with the business. As a highly collaborative team member, you will be expected to perform these duties with a positive attitude, in a collaborative manner, and promote a "team-first" environment throughout CFS Brands.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • 70% Network Administration and 30% System Administration
  • Management and ownership of:
    • Firewall solutions globally
    • Switch and access points globally.
    • Enterprise storage solutions globally.
    • Rack and modular server hardware globally.
    • IT power systems and ensuring cooling systems are functional.
    • All Enterprise Linux servers.
    • VMware vCenter environments.
    • Backup systems and DR testing.
    • DNS, DHCP, and DFS globally.
  • Promptly responding to system outages, resolving issues, and diagnosing root causes of issues.
  • Responsible for the global network and server monitoring solution, ensuring all core assets are monitored, and generated alerts are addressed.
  • Responsible for ensuring network performance and traffic flow is optimized.
  • Managing cabling and other install vendors and projects both locally and remotely.
  • Maintaining network diagrams, VLAN documentation, and server inventories.
  • Assisting with:
    • Management of all Windows servers globally.
    • Management of company physical security control systems
    • Planning of new hardware solutions and executing on their installation.
    • Integration of new acquisition company networks into CFS standards.
  • Researching and recommending innovative and automated approaches to system administration.
  • Developing and maintaining departmental procedural documents and the IT knowledge base.
  • Notifying all users of upcoming planned maintenance, service disruptions, and reinstatements following agreed-upon procedures and quality standards.
  • Meeting or exceeding established departmental workload and efficiency goals.
  • Assisting in meeting compliance with CFS Brands policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of own work area, the IT Operations workbench, data center, and related hardware storage areas.


Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Five plus years of relevant Network \ Systems Administration work or equivalent experience supporting enterprise-scale environments.
  • Relevant mid-level certifications such as N+, MCSA, etc. required.
  • Experience with administrating Fortinet Firewalls is a plus.
  • Experience with administrating Dell and EMC SAN solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with administrating Avamar \ Data Domain Backup solutions is a plus.
  • Additional Network Administration certifications are a plus.
 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

The type of experience required to perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this position effectively are:
  • Advanced understanding of firewall administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of CLI switch administration.
  • Advanced understanding of VMware vCenter administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of physical and virtual server infrastructure.
  • Advanced understanding of Linux server Administration
  •  
  • Detailed knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO management.
  • Detailed understanding of server operating systems and how applications can interact.
  •  
  • Good organizational skills and experience with helpdesk systems, SLAs, and support contracts.
  • Good understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery practices.
  •  
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours as maintenance windows dictate.
  • Lifting up to 50lb occasionally is required, along with working on ladders and scissor lifts to assist with installing hardware and running cable as necessary.
 

TRAVEL REQUIRED:
  • Up to 20% travel to support multiple operating locations and corporate initiatives across the US and Mexico, with potential travel to Europe.
