Job Summary:

The Monitor Technician is responsible for the monitoring of telemetry patients within the hospital. Monitors, records and reports heart rhythm, seizure and fall risk activity for patients with orders for telemetry, Electronic Monitoring Unit and AvaSys Telesitter monitoring. Ensures equipment in working order in conjunction with Clinical Engineering and IT Departments.

What your day will look like:
  • Full Time / Evening shift:

Job Responsibility:
  • Monitor telemetry for changes and/or arrythmias for all patients on telemetry
  • Notify RN of changes
  • Complete all necessary documentation as outlined by SFMC policy and procedure
  • Track telemetry availability, report broken telemetry boxes
  • Monitor supplies, restock as needed
  • Perform maintenance of monitors on patients to ensure best readings

Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Associates Degree or CNA certification (preferred)
  • 1 year experience with telemetry monitors (preferred)
  • Completion of Telemetry class and test (completed after hire)
