Our manufacturing facility in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Materials Lead. This is a 1st shift position. Overtime may be required as needed.

What will you do?

  • Assemble and transfer materials, supplies and products to work stations in the manufacturing facility.
  • Provide direction to material handler as needed.
  • Pick material requirements from warehouse locations and stage in appropriate area.
  • Ensure each schedule has sufficient amount of raw materials based on the schedule to avoid work stoppage.
  • Ensure partial pallets are returned to warehouse with proper identification on a daily basis.
  • Ensure materials documentation is accurate, in real time to support system transactions and accurate inventory
  • Participate in and support monthly physical inventories and cycle counts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory in staging, press room and finishing areas.
  • Provide training on system and product as needed.
  • Provide backup to supervisor in case of absence.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack or similar equipment to transfer materials around a warehouse or manufacturing facility.
  • Follow safety procedures at all times when operating equipment and transferring materials around the facility.
  • May load and unload trucks that come to the facility.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of similar experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment in material handling.
  • Capable of operating powered and hand equipment and be certified in operation of this equipment
  • Understanding and willingness to follow specific safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to proactively use product knowledge and share/train other personnel
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to employment.
